Update On Life and "Question Girl"

HELLO! Sorry I haven't posted in AGES!

Well, it's 2012 now..wow. It's funny to hear that. I still don't quite believe it's 2012 yet. I write all the time on my homework and such, but when I say it and actually think about it, I don't quite believe it.

School is back in session...yay...lol. We just had our mid-term exams (finals) last week and I am so HAPPY with my grades!!!! Studying does pay off. Know that.
And I think I am about to get a bit more busier than ever. Why you may ask? Well school doesn't end till like 2:20PM [I know that isn't too bad] but then afternoon activities and homework. Basketball...Ballet...Music(well, I'm going to like teach myself and think because I've been doing music on and off for awhile so now I want o go back into it) and...yeah. Then like youth group Tuesday night. Pretty crazy schedule this term for me. I hope I can get through it!

It's February now. Cool. January went by fast though, don't you think?

Now, I am going to answer your question: "Why is part of this post called 'Question Girl'?" Well, in class one day, a random idea popped into my head. That's been happening a lot lately..but that doesn't mean I don't pay attention in class! I pay attention a lot. Anyway, I was just thinking of like answering a random question, maybe like each day or so and put that as an entry. I thought it's a pretty cool idea. And I think it will work for me because I am the girl FULL OF QUESTIONS. No joke. I think you can ask anyone who knows me well that I ask questions all the time. So yep. That's my idea and I'm going to do it. Let me know what you think of it!! My first question will be coming soon!!

To Be A Dork

A poem by Jessica M. (Me)

To be a dork can be many things
Like being smart and randomly sing
Embarrassing yourself can connect to that too
But no worries, no one is going to sue you

What type of books you read is a contribution
Anime, mythical, fantasy - now that can be a situation
How you express things and how you do in sports
Also if your laugh has a snort

Those are just some characteristics
But there is more
Like doing a magic trick
Or being a bore

Know I have nothing against being a dork
I consider myself one too
But don't go suicidal with a fork!
'Cause people love you

Remember this:
Whoever judges you
That's their loss
'Cause to be a dork
is BOSS

Rain

Just a haiku that I wrote over the weekend.

Rain

Rain - how sweet it is

Cold, wet - just so calm to me

Rain can make my day

STOP BULLYING NOW!

Hey y'all!
This is a post about a major problem all over the world. That's right. BULLYING.
Okay, why am I posting this. Here are 3 links about two similar stories. These stories, have become huge! And of course, is is about bullying. The first one, recently just happened. And the writing isn't that long but the video is long.
The first link is about 14 year old girls who committed suicide at their sleepover.
http://gimmemo.com/04/2011/bullied-teens-commit-double-suicide
The second one is probably one who have heard because it have gone viral. To me, this second one, is like the one above, but this one happened last year. The links are below.
These links are about a girl, named Phoebe Prince. She committed suicide because of cyberbullying.
http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2010/01/24/the_untouchable_mean_girls/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_of_Phoebe_Prince

Bullying comes in different ways. There are:
cyberbullying
physical bullying
social bullying
verbal bullying
indirect bullying
intimidation & etc.
You can find the definition of the ones I just mentioned here: http://library.thinkquest.org/07aug/00117/typesbullying.html

This situation is big deal. Especially in middle school through college. That's probably the worst times of being bullied. Because you can commit suicide. While on the other hand, you can't really do that while you are in secondary school. But I am not saying to kill yourself cause you can. I am asking you to help stop bullying in the world. You can make a difference.

Here is a song by Selena Gomez and the Scene that I think is a wonderful message especially if you are being bullied or know someone who is.

I hope this entry will make you think twice about bullying.

And I will like to know if you would like to make a difference in the world by stopping bullying, like me. So comment!

And let me leave this question for the bullies. Do you REALLY want to be responsible for some one's death?

Random Cat I Like To Call 'Kitty!'

So, this post is obviously about a random cat that I like to call 'Kitty'! Well, she wasn't my cat and had no name tag and she is a cat so the best name in that situation, is Kitty. lol.
This is what happened...

My mom went outside to walk our friend to their car. Then she called me and told me "There is a cat outside our door! Come see!" So I came really excited! The cat was so cute and big! But still so sweet! I really wanted to pet her but my mom said I shouldn't. So I didn't.

My sister overheard me talking to the cat so she came downstairs to see herself. She and the rest of my family, except me has seen that cat before. They have seen it because it always walks behind our house in the evening but I always miss it. So this was the first time I saw her.

As I mentioned, the cat was big. Big that my mom thought it was pregnant. ha! But I don't think she is.

Also at one point of looking and talking to the cat and my sister at the door, I said, "It could be rabid! And jump up at us and attack us!" Weird right? Weird because my sister replied, "There is no foam coming out of its' mouth so no, it is not rabid." (Take note that I know that rabid animals have foam coming out of their mouths before, way before this situation.)

'Kitty' (the cat) meowed at us and wanted to come into the house but my mom said no. I really wished she could of though, she seemed super sweet. But we figured that she belonged to someone because we live in an apartment right now and there is a lot of more apartments and all around us so she could belong to one of the residences here. And she looked very healthy and obviously domestic. I loved that cat! She reminded me of my own cat back home, Piggy. I miss Piggy! And I miss 'Kitty'!

Oh! And 'Kitty' wouldn't leave the front door! It was really cute! And when a residence pasted by,s he hide in a bush next to our apartment. When I came out to see where she went, she came out. She is a super sweet kitty! I hope to see her again! :D

Here are a few pics of 'Kitty' that I took!

Quick Notes --May 15 & May 16

This post is about my flight (May 15 to May 16) on the way to the United States. I will try my best to make it make sense because the notes I took doesn't really make sense but let me try.
So you know how the day plane has game shows? Well, these are facts that I learned from that (May 15, 2011):
  • Mayonaise was invented in France
  • Baseball, in Latin, means 'the gentle way'
  • Ian Flemming created James Bond (probably everyone already knew that)
  • The play, 'curveball' is in the sport baseball.

The notes below this is from the flight from Joburg to New York.

*About 3 and 1/2 hours till we reach destination- New York*

Movies I watched:

  • Big Mammas Like Father, Like Son ( A great movie!!!)
  • Over The Hedge (haven't seen that movie in ages!!)

Music I listened to:

  • A Year Without Rain by Selena Gomez and the Scene,
  • abit of Avril Lavigne,
  • abit of Jonas L.A.
  • abit of Disney's Greatest Hits, Vol. 1

Random notes:

  • I got some sleep on the plane but I was ver ncomfortable. Oh! And there was even a whole moon! Very pretty!

May 16- Less than 60 minutes till reaching New York!!

  • I saw the sun rise! I was thinking of taking a photo but I wasn't sure if I was aloud to to take one or not..so I didn't take one. But the sunrise was B-E-A-U-TIFUL!!
  • We were probably about 2000 meters (in altitude) and all we coud see wa clouds. But it still looked pretty!! Thanks for reading my random notes that I took while flying! Blog more later!!
